Beding (3690m) is the biggest village and the centre of the Rolwaling valley with the houses built on the hillside. Gauri Shankar pokes its lower south east shoulder above the intervening ridge. We camped below a fairly new lodge on the far side of town. There is a nice waterfall just a few minutes past Beding. The cooler temperatures have finally arrived, with an overnight of -2C.
